College Hill CURC CO-OP

For my third CO-OP I worked in the marketing and graphic design department for The College Hill Urban Redevelopment Center. As a part of this position, I created and implemented multiple design strategies as well as created new visual systems that worked within their existing brand. This included creating digital content for web and social media along with print collateral such as posters, flyers, and note cards. I also created new brand identities and templates for their OurShop program and social media.

During this CO-OP I was also a part of the team that helped the College Hill CURC win the “Golden Paint Brush” award for their Facade Improvement Program in the in City Beat’s Love Thy ‘Nati Awards.

Giving Tuesday Marketing

As a part of College Hill CURC’s Giving Tuesday Fundraising Campaign, I created a 2023 year-in-review video as well as a short promotional animation for social media.

College Hill Station III Booklet

I created a booklet to give to state representatives to serve as a way to educate them on the College Hill Station III project in hopes for them to consider College Hill for future development funding.

OurShop Marketing and Branding

OurShop is College Hill CURC’s small business support initiative that allows small/minority-owned businesses a place where they can run a brick-and-mortar store with low risk to see if they are ready to move into a storefront full-time. For this program, I created a revised color palette and social media templates including still, motion, and video graphics to accurately tell these business’s stories.

Facade Improvement Program

I created environmental signage and wayfinding as a part of College Hill CURC’s Facade Improvement Program. The Facade Improvement program is College Hill CURC’s beautification initiative to improve the business district by improving different businesses along the avenue’s facades and storefronts.

New merchandise line

I created a new merchandise line called the LandMark series that brought in record profits to College Hill CURC. The new line of merchandise highlights key aspects of the Hamilton Avenue Business District and reflects the fresh new feeling of the College Hill Community. It was also printed by a College Hill local print shop so that is truly made for College Hill by College Hill.

Tortilleria Garcia Business Highlight

As a way to gather more attention for College Hill’s business district, I suggested that we create a series of promotional videos focusing on each business in the district. Below is the one that I shot, directed, and edited for Tortilleria Garcia, a small family-minority-owned restaurant located in the heart of College Hill.
